Stranger Things composers agree to create the score for National Geographic’s 'Valley of the Boom'


Kyle Dixon and Michael Stein, the Emmy Award-winning composers of hit TV show Stranger Things, have signed up to create the score for forthcoming National Geographic series Valley of the Boom.

The duo, who also make up half of the Austin-based band S U R V I V E, will create the ambitious soundtrack to the latest National Geographic series having made the announcement at the Television Critics Association summer press tour.

According to a press release from National Geographic, Valley of the Boom has been described as “an adrenaline-fueled ride through the culture of speculation, innovation and disruption during Silicon Valley’s unprecedented tech boom and subsequent bust in the 1990s.”

Director Matthew Carnahan is in charge of the series which also stars the likes of Emmy-winner Bradley Whitford, Steve Zahn and Lamorne Morris.
