Slowthai has shared a brand new video for ‘adhd’, a song from his chart-topping new album, TYRON, and has announced a plethora of tour dates for 2022.
Earlier this month, the rapper announced a run of intimate tour dates in August and September throughout Britain, but now he has revealed that he will be playing much bigger venues in 2022. His warm-up tour begins at Glasgow’s G2 on August 31st. It will culminate at The Underworld in Camden on September 9th after visits to Leeds’ Brudenell Social Club, Oxford’s The Bullingdon, The Joiners in Southampton and The Hare & Hounds in Birmingham.
Then in March 2022, his Hell Is Home tour will begin in Dublin on the 13th and visit cities like Manchester, Cardiff, Liverpool, Leeds and Southampton before Slowthai wraps things up in epic style with a residency at Brixton Academy in London.
On top of this, the musician has released visuals for his album closer, ‘adhd’, the track remarkably ends the album and cultivates the duality of Slowthai in one song. One second he’s phoning his expressing his love to his friend on the phone, and the next, he’s firing through an angsty verse, which perfectly summarises the record and him in the space of 30-seconds.
“When I made this album it was one of the darkest points of my life,” Slowthai told The Offical Charts Company following TYRON being named number one. “I was heavily depressed, I had thoughts of suicide. To be honest this album and everyone that took part, and all you guys helped me out, boosted me up and lifted me.”
He added: “So I want to dedicate this award or this position or whatever you wanna call it, to anyone who’s in a dark place, anyone who’s been there along the journey.”
