Slipknot’s Sid Wilson proposes to Kelly Osbourne during final Black Sabbath show

Slipknot DJ Sid Wilson got engaged to Kelly Osbourne at Black Sabbath’s final farewell show, ‘Back to the Beginning’, on July 5th.

Osbourne, the daughter of Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne, took to social media to share the heartwarming news, in which Wilson is seen popping the question backstage at the show in front of Osbourne’s family and friends.

In the video, the group are gathered in a room as Wilson began: “Kelly, you know I love you more than anything in the world,” to which Ozzy Osbourne then quipped, “Fuck off! You’re not marrying my daughter.”

Subsequently, the Slipknot DJ then went on to add: “Nothing would make me happier than to spend the rest of my life with you. In front of your family and all of our friends, Kelly, will you marry me?”

Wilson and Osbourne had been in a relationship since 2022 and welcomed a child together, a son called Sidney, that same year. It also comes off the back of Slipknot celebrating the 25th anniversary of their eponymous debut album, released in 1999, for which they took part in a huge tour throughout 2024.

Elsewhere, the Back to the Beginning gig represented the pinnacle of Osbourne and Black Sabbath’s career together, with the Prince of Darkness defying months of stark odds to deliver a blazing final performance.

Delivering a slew of the band’s greatest hits, including their iconic tune ‘Paranoid’, Black Sabbath were joined by a range of heavy metal heavyweights for the charity concert held at Villa Park in Birmingham, including Metallica, Slayer, and Alice in Chains.

The gig was also interspersed with a number of video messages from musical icons wishing Black Sabbath a fond farewell, including Dolly Parton and Elton John.
