Slash confirms Guns N’ Roses plans to tour North America in 2026
Slash has confirmed Guns N’ Roses plan to tour North America in 2026.
This year, Guns N’ Roses have toured extensively around the world, which kicked off with a date in South Korea in May, and has since taken them around Asia, Europe and South America.
The ongoing run of shows is set to end with a huge date in Mexico City on November 7th, but Guns N’ Roses don’t plan to be away for too long. “I can say, we’re definitely doing a US run next year,” Slash told Eddie Trunk on Sirius XM.
“I can safely say that that’s happening,” he continued. “So we’ve been doing a bunch of international stuff all year so we have to come back to the States, so we planned for next year.”
In the same interview, Slash explained why he is against the idea of playing the Sphere in Las Vegas with Guns N’ Roses, admitting that he’s “real trepidatious about” the prospect because it “becomes a visual show as opposed to seeing a rock and roll show”.
He also recently confirmed that Guns N’ Roses remain committed to making another album and stated to Guitar World, “There’s so much material at this point — it’s a matter of having the discipline to sit down and fucking get into it.’
However, the guitarist was unwilling to put a timeframe on when fans are likely to hear another record from the rock legends, adding, “But the thing with Guns is, in my experience, you can never plan ahead. You can never sit down and go, ‘We’re going to take this time, and we’re going to do this.’ Every time we’ve done that, it falls apart.”
Last week, the band issued a statement after singer Axl Rose appeared to attack a drum kit during a recent performance in Buenos Aires on October 18th. They clarified, “During the opening song at our recent Buenos Aires concert, Axl’s in-ear monitor pack had only the percussion in his ears versus the entire mix.”
