Sheryl Crow calls for Donald Trump to be “impeached and imprisoned” over Epstein files

Sheryl Crow has called for President Donald Trump to be “impeached and imprisoned” after he was named in the Epstein files.

Trump was one of the many high-profile figures who were named in the new three million files that the Department of Justice released on January 30th in relation to the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

In the United Kingdom, former US ambassador and Labour Party MP, Peter Mandelson, is now being investigated by the Metropolitan Police over his friendship with Epstein. There is also increased scrutiny over Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, who has lost his royal titles.

However, Crow believes that the US authorities are not doing enough. Taking to Instagram Stories on February 6th, Crow wrote, “Those named in the Epstein files in other countries are going down hard for it. Not in America.”

She continued, “We’re just going to act like it never happened or that it’s fake.”

The singer-songwriter passionately continued, “Who are we if we do not stand up for children who are knowingly being pedaled to rich leaders all over the world.”

Crow then turned her attention to the US president, who is named in the files but hasn’t been found guilty of any wrongdoing, writing, “Trump needs to be impeached and imprisoned along with every other person…”

The ‘My Favorite Mistake’ singer concluded by saying that her message is aimed at any “Democrat, Republican, American, or foreign who knew this was going on and never said anything.”

Earlier this week, Trump said that the US should move on from the Epstein files to a new subject, stating, “I think it’s time now for the country to maybe get onto something else like health care. Something that people care about

Crow has been a vocal critic of the Trump administration, previously posting on Instagram in January, “This is no longer our America. Our democracy is under siege by a corrupt government. Truth matters.”

Additionally, last year, she released the fiery political single, ‘The New Normal‘, which saw her take down the current administration.

Crow sings on the track, “If the news is fake and fear is hate, And nothing’s immoral to the leader of the free world, Then, welcome to the new normal”.
