SAG Awards 2024: The full list of winners
As one of the final stops on the road to the Oscars, the SAG Awards reward the best and brightest the industry has at its disposal, and usually offers a solid barometer on where the Academy Awards will end up heading.
With that in mind, it’s hardly a shock to see Oppenheimer emerge as the biggest winner of the night, with Christopher Nolan’s epic biographical drama tracing the origin of the atomic bomb scooping several of the most notable prizes on offer.
Elsewhere, the small screen trophies largely toed the line that awards season has followed thus far this year, with the three shows that dominated the Golden Globes and Primetime Emmys continuing their unmatched success, racking up even more accolades as the ceremony progressed.
There were still a couple of notable upsets to be found, though, while the SAG Awards itself felt looser and more vibrant than it has for years, which can largely be attributed to the broadcast being streamed live on Netflix for the first time.
Acknowledging the months-long strike action that virtually ground Hollywood to a standstill, SAG-AFTRA Fran Drescher was in attendance, celebrating the members of the organisation for the way in which they “survived the longest strike in our union’s history with courage and conviction.”
In a recurring theme of awards season, the biggest winners of the night were Oppenheimer, Succession, The Bear, and Beef, while Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning was recognised for its jaw-dropping stunts, a category that those in the profession have been demanding be added to the Oscars for years., with Barbara Streisand getting the crowd emotional when she received a lifetime achievement gong.
All told the list of SAG Awards winners played out almost entirely as expected, with the full list of winners below.
