Rush extend tour for the third time with 18 new shows

Rush have extended their Fifty Something tour for the third time, adding 18 new shows.

Earlier this week, the tour, which was initially limited to Los Angeles, Fort Worth, Mexico City, Chicago, New York, Toronto and Cleveland, was extended with 17 new cities across North America added to the run.

It was initially confirmed on October 20th that they would also play Philadelphia, Detroit, Montreal, Boston, San Antonio, Denver, Seattle, San Jose, Washington, Uncasville, Hollywood (Florida), Tampa, Washington, Charlotte, Atlanta, Glendale, Edmonton, and Vancouver.

Now, due to demand, Rush have added second shows in each of the cities above, as well as a second show in Mexico City at the Palacio de los Deportes on June 20th.

Notably, they will play four shows each in Los Angeles, Fort Worth, Chicago, New York, Toronto and Cleveland

Following the previous tour expansion on October 20th, the band’s Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson shared a video message with fans explaining how they were overwhelmed by the demand to their first tour in more than a decade.

The duo said: “Wow! We are blown away by the response to the announcement that we made a few weeks ago that we’re going back out on tour. And I cannot tell you how surprising and overwhelmed we are.”

They also thanked fans for how they have embraced their new drummer, Anika Nilles, sharing, “And also the way you guys have welcomed Anika Nilles into the Rush family has been very heartwarming. I know she’s very appreciative of that and we’re even more excited to get back on stage with her and go through the plethora of songs that we’re planning.”

In total, Rush will now play 58 dates across North America in 2026. It remains to be seen whether the prog-rock legends have plans to take the Fifty Something tour to the United Kingdom, Europe, Asia, Latin America or Australia.
