Release date revealed for ‘The Bear’ season four

FX has revealed that all ten episodes of The Bear, starring Jeremy Allen White, will arrive simultaneously in June.

The series is set to be released in its entirety on June 25th on Hulu in the United States at 8pm ET and 5pm PT. For viewers of the hit show that reside everywhere else in the world, the anxiety-inducing culinary-based show will be available to stream on Disney+.

It comes after White told Esquire UK last August of plans for the fourth season: “I’m not sure exactly when. I know it’s not going to be until next year. I imagine sometime early next year, a similar start date to the last couple of years: February/March time.”

It was previously believed that the studio had filmed seasons three and four back-to-back in 2024, but they didn’t shoot the entirety of the fourth series last year. Instead, shooting resumed on the series in February and has since wrapped. Season three was released on June 24th, 2024, and broke records for Hulu, amassing 5.4 million views in just four days of streaming.

At this stage, the future of The Bear remains uncertain beyond season four. However, the series’ popularity is proof of the demand for more episodes.

Last year, FX chief John Landgraf said to Variety that the future of the series rests solely in the hands of creator and showrunner Chris Storer, “These decisions are really creative decisions”. He did note that he hopes Storer “has more than one more season of story to tell.”

Landgraf continued, “But not to the extent that if there was one great season or three mediocre ones, I’d rather have one great one. You just have to follow the creative.”

Season four of The Bear will arrive on Hulu and Disney+ on June 25th, 2025.
