Primavera 2026: Gorillaz and The Strokes to headline Brazil and Argentina editions

Gorillaz and The Strokes are set to head to South America later this year to front the Brazilian and Argentine editions of Primavera Sound.

The two weekends of the festival are set to take place across the two countries, although the line-up will remain the same in both locations. It will kick off between November 28th and 29th in Buenos Aires.

Subsequently, the São Paulo weekend is set to take place over the course of December 5th and 6th this year at the Autódromo De Interlago in the South American city, with a stacked line-up set to get the party in full swing.

The Damon Albarn and Julian Casablancas-fronted bands will be joined by the likes of Lily Allen, FKA Twigs, Young Lean, CMAT, and Courtney Barnett.

Some of the other names on the bill include Underscores, Nation of Language, and Cara Delevigne, who has recently swapped her life on the big screen for the recording studio, releasing her recent singles ‘I Forgot’ and ‘Out of My Head’.

It will mark the second time the actor and musician has appeared in a Primavera line-up this year, since she is also set to take to the stage at the Barcelona iteration of the festival in June.

Gorillaz are also set to follow the same trend, headlining the Spanish city on June 6th alongside The XX and My Bloody Valentine, while artists such as The Cure, Doja Cat, and Massive Attack will perform on the other days of the festival.

Presale for the Buenos Aires stint of Primavera will become available from May 12th at 12pm local time, with general sale taking place with remaining tickets afterwards.

Organisers for the São Paulo side of the festival have said that details for buying tickets will be released soon.
