Perfect Pussy release ‘Interference Fits’
Syracuse noise punk band Perfect Pussy hope to follow the precedent of popular pussies gone by, inadvertently hurling themselves towards us in Pussy Galore/ Pussy Riot fashion. How many more times can I say pussy before it becomes unacceptable?
Perfect Pussy probably isn’t for all you pussies out there.
One thing that is evidently clear, though, is the impact label Captured Tracks has had on the self-confessed ‘loudmouths’, allowing them to take any path they, themselves, feel is right for the band, even if that does involve Meredith Graves literally pouring her own blood into a record.
‘Interference Fits’ is a triumph, as I’m sure their full-length Say Yes To Love will be. Perfect Pussy will be touring the record in the summer, and here is where you can see them, you pussies.
Their tour kicks off on August 1st at The Deaf Institute in Manchester before moving on to the Visions Festival in London on the 2nd. Then, they will play in Katowice, Poland.
The other announced outings include a performance at the iconic Berghain in Berlin, as well as an Amsterdam gig. Following an appearance at the Bad Bonn in Dudingen, Switzerland, they will round out their August schedule in London at the Jabberwocky Festival.
