Pedro Pascal discusses fears ahead of ‘Fantastic Four’ release: “My nerves were bigger than they usually are”

Pedro Pascal has opened up about his fears ahead of the release of his next film The Fantastic Four: First Steps, admitting, “I think maybe my nerves were bigger than they usually are.”

The actor recently spoke with the Associated Press about his trepidation about joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe alongside co-stars Vanessa Kirby, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, and Joseph Quinn.

He said: “I think that sometimes the outside will find you, no matter how much you try to protect yourself from it. It just comes with the territory,” before adding: “I think maybe my nerves were bigger than they usually are.”

Noting the significance of becoming a part of such a well-known franchise with a dedicated fanbase, Pascal continued: “I think I just was a little bit more sensitive to the love that people have for stories like this, because I know that they wouldn’t exist if it weren’t for the love that people have for these characters.”

The actor’s upcoming role in The Fantastic Four is not the only project keeping him up at night. He has become one of the most in-demand actors in the industry right now, with three major films set for release over the space of the next six weeks.

Pascal has taken on leading roles in not just The Fantastic Four but also the upcoming Materialists and Eddington, representing a career high for Pascal.

Regarding this, he said: “It is the best time of my life. Just, I don’t know… look around, and it’s an incredible reflection of what I’m experiencing right now. I’m having a really amazing time.”

The Fantastic Four: First Steps will be released on July 25th, while Materialists will come out on August 15th and Eddington will hit cinemas on August 22nd.
