Watch Pedro Pascal and Julia Garner star in ‘The Fantastic Four: First Steps’ trailer
The new trailer for The Fantastic Four: The First Steps, starring Pedro Pascal and Julia Garner, has arrived.
The synopsis for the film, set for release on July 25th, reads, “Forced to balance their roles as heroes with the strength of their family bond, the Fantastic Four must defend Earth from a ravenous space god called Galactus and his enigmatic Herald, Silver Surfer.”
Pascal, who plays Mister Fantastic, is joined on the adventure by Vanessa Kirby as the Invisible Woman, Joseph Quinn as the Human Torch, and Ebon Moss-Bacharach as The Thing. Meanwhile, Ralph Ineson takes on the villainous role of Galactus and teams up with Garner’s Silver Surfer, whom they must defeat.
In the new clip, Pascal and Kirby’s characters learn they are having a child, which is a challenge they weren’t expecting, but one they are prepared to take on. Kirby’s Sue Storm says, “We can do this. We will face this together. We will fight it together — as a family.”
Towards the end of the trailer, following the introduction of the heroes, viewers are met with Garner’s Silver Surfer on-screen, who poses an imposing threat.
The cast has remained tight-lipped about the movie. However, earlier this year, Garner told Entertainment Weekly: “I can’t really speak a lot about that project. All I can just say is that I’m very lucky to have a part in that project, and the Fantastic Four are fantastic.”
She continued: “They are so amazing in this. I’m very excited for people to see them. I’m assuming that this Silver Surfer is gonna be really shiny like in the other previous ones and the comic books. So, yeah, that’s all I’m gonna say.”
