Ozzy Osbourne wouldn’t reboot TV show in “a million years”
Ozzy Osbourne has insisted that he has absolutely no intentions of rebooting The Osbournes TV show. Talking about the experience in a new podcast episode, the entire family discussed the impact reality television had on their mental health.
The Osbournes Podcast has provided a wealth of information and updates on the world’s favourite rock and roll family. So far, Ozzy and his family, Sharon, Jack and Kelly, have discussed everything from true crime to ‘Karens’ to Ketamine. But in the latest episode, released on November 21st, the family discuss their infamous TV show.
The family opened up about their popular 2000s reality show which aired on MTV from 2002 to 2005. Since the show ended, fans have called for a reboot. But on the podcast, the family agreed they would never want to do it again.
The conversation is brought up when Jack Osbourne asked whether the show had a “positive or negative effect on everyone’s mental health”.
For Kelly Osbourne, she said the show has a “massive negative effect”, claiming the reality show was simply a forum for people to judge them. “It made me so insecure,” she said.
Ozzy, however, seemed to have a different viewpoint. He said the show provides the “best diary” for future generations of the family to connect with them.
But, all family members complained about the TV show’s intrusive nature, admitting to feeling embarrassed by its content. Ozzy claimed he couldn’t “pick my nose and squeeze a zit” without the cameras filming him.
The family also discussed how much of the show was fictitious as Jack Osbourne said the experience began to get “unreal” when the family were forced to go on trips or engage in activities they usually wouldn’t, just for the cameras.
“That’s why I don’t think we’ll ever do another season,” Jack Osbourne said, with Ozzy adding, “It won’t happen again. Never in a million years.”
