Ozzy Osbourne likely to never tour again, says son Jack Osbourne
Jack Osbourne has recently revealed that it remains highly unlikely that his father, notorious rocker Ozzy Osbourne, will ever tour again.
Speaking in a new interview, Jack discussed his father’s health condition, sharing that it’s unlikely that the Black Sabbath frontman will ever tour again. “I don’t think he’ll tour again,” he said. “But he’s gunning to do one-off shows — like festivals, gigs, things like that. He’s not done yet!”
Ozzy’s last performance was in 2018. Following this, he had a fall, which impacted a spinal injury he suffered after a bike crash in 2003.
Subsequently, he has undergone three medical procedures, with the most recent one reported in June 2023. Additionally, in 2020, Jack confirmed that he was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease and relies on a cane for mobility.
“There were a few hiccups, but he’s doing good,” Jack told The Messenger. “He’s got no more pain, no more nerve issues.”
Ozzy also recently announced his retirement from touring following a sequence of cancellations, but he was also planning to get back into the studio to record a new album set to drop in 2024.
This was confirmed during a conversation with Brent Porche of Philadelphia’s 93.3 WMMR radio station, where the metal singer officially announced his intention to take his time creating a new album at the start of the new year.
He explained: “Being laid up for about five years because of the surgery thing and the fall I had, I was going nuts. So I met Andrew Watt, and we did a couple of albums together. And I’m waiting for him to get free to do another album. ‘Cause everybody wants to use him now.”
