Noel Gallagher says he would call on U2’s Bono to help dispose of a dead body
Following on from the release of his latest single ‘Black Star Dancing’ Noel Gallagher is on the interview trail to promote the EP of the same name. Gallagher is famed for his pithy answers to questions so should we be surprised by his latest omission that he would get Bono to help him get rid of a dead body… should he ever need to.
As well as announcing that he had written two more EPs for 2019, Noel Gallagher’s recent interviews have been all about the business of promoting the upcoming EP. On his latest interview with Absolute Radio the star diverted from the usual protocl and ended up answering a particuarly morose question.
When asked who he would ask if he needed to get rid of a dead body he responded with “Paul Weller. Actually… Bono because we could dispose of the body somewhere in Africa and nobody would know,”
The conversation with breakfast host Dave Berry continued to meander down the weird and wonderful when he described a request he had from Wayne Rooney’s wife Coleen. It appears the wife of the then Manchester United captain hit the wrong note for the former Oasis and avid Machester City fan.
“I got this rambling letter from Coleen Rooney saying, it’s Wayne’s 21st. He’s a huge fan. It’d be great if you could sign it for him. And I was like…. cheeky, what?,” Noel said.
“So, I took all the parts off it. Got my mate who is a decorator to dip it in sky blue emulsion paint. Wait for it to dry, put all the parts back on it. Graffitied it with quite questionable Man City songs and sent it back to him with letter saying, ‘Happy birthday, Spongebob. Next time you want ‘owt signing send us your Bentley.’
