As part of the promotional circuit as any other media, podcasts have become a vital part of musicians and artists getting their message out. It seems that hasn’t gone unnoticed by former Oasis man Noel Gallagher.
Gallagher, who himself appeared on Matt Morgan’s Funny How podcast when speaking, said he had plans to launch his own podcast once the studio is “up and running”, he even invited Morgan to be his first guest.
“We’re talking about it. When I get my studio up and running we’ll get it together,” Gallagher revealed. “We’ll have nice expensive microphones, we can even have cups of gin.”
It’s not hard to imagine the Mancunian hosting his own podcast, he’s an adept orator and has always been captivating when speaking. In fact, many people have enjoyed Gallagher’s barbs and comments as much as his music.
In the same conversation with Morgan, Gallagher also revealed he was keen on owning some property in Ireland, “I fucking love it. I need to get a house there. I need to get a gaff there. You get the added bonus that you know your neighbours are gonna be great.”
Matt Morgan has often provided Gallagher with a safe space to talk. One meeting between the pair even saw Gallagher reveal he had lost a priceless notebook full of Oasis lyrics.
“I did lose a load of lyrics early on in Oasis,” he said. “We got slung out of a hotel in Manchester – The Britannia, The Midland…one of those – by the police and a lyric book went missing.”
He added: “It has not surfaced, and it was in 1993 or 1994, so somebody has just launched it in a bin haven’t they?”
