Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds have released their new single, ‘Rattling Rose’.
The song, taken from his upcoming new album Black Star Dancing, and comes with some silky Gallagher vocals and strong acoustic guitar.
Speaking about the track, Gallagher said: “It manages to combine the influences of Chris Rea, Chris De Burgh, Mike and the Mechanics and Slipknot FFS!”
Gallagher continued: “I may have eaten too many gummy bears recently… anyway it’s “jolly good”… not my words but the words of David Cameron who literally did the hokey-cokey at Soho Farmhouse when he heard it.”

Speaking about his upcoming releases, Gallagher said: “I’ve got three EPs coming out this year – three four-track EPs,” while in conversation with NME. Letting some more details emerge, the former Oasis man said one will be “a very Mancunian-sounding record”.
He added: “I can see guys in anoraks, nodding their heads moodily to it, while checking out each other’s Adidas trainers, [saying] ‘Where you got those from?’”
Black Star Dancing will be released June 14, the same day he headlines Isle of Wight Festival.
