Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds announce new live album, ‘Live God’
Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds have confirmed details of their new live album, Live God.
The new release was recorded from the shows they played in support of the 2024 album, Wild God, across the United Kingdom, Europe and North America, which Cave described as “an antidote to despair.”
Set to arrive on December 5th, Live God will be available on premium double gatefold LP, double CD and digital format. To preview the forthcoming release, Cave has shared a live version of the title track from Wild God from the Accor Arena in Paris.
The tracklist, which boasts 18 songs, includes live versions of every track from Wild God as well as classic cuts such as ‘From Her To Eternity’, ‘Papa Won’t Leave You, Henry’ and ‘Into My Arms’.
2026 is also set to be a year to remember for the band. They will begin it with a visit to Australia and New Zealand for the first time since 2017. Then, their summer shows will begin at Malahide Castle in Dublin on June 1st, before making trips to Germany, Denmark, the Czech Republic, Austria, Greece, Italy, and Belgium later that month.
In July, the Bad Seeds will be returning to Germany, performing at NOS Alive in Portugal, as well as three shows in France, including Festival de Nîmes, before closing the month in Brighton for a huge homecoming show at Preston Park that is already sold out.
The final leg of Cave’s summer European tour will commence in August with visits to Croatia, Germany, Romania, Norway, Germany, and conclude at Rock En Seine in Paris on August 28th.
Despite the impending Radiohead reunion later this year, Colin Greenwood has been confirmed to remain part of the Bad Seeds line-up for next year, alongside Warren Ellis, Jim Sclavunos, George Vjestica, Larry Mullins, and Carly Paradis.
Meanwhile, Sky Documentaries recently unveiled plans to release a new documentary celebrating Cave’s career, which has the working title of The Veiled World of Nick Cave. It features contributions from Ellis, Greenwood, Florence Welch, and is set to arrive in 2025.
