Netflix releases full trailer for Zack Snyder’s ‘Rebel Moon – Part One: A Child of Fire’
Netflix have released the full trailer for Zack Synder’s Rebel Moon – Part One: A Child of Fire, the two-part movie that will tell of a band of rebels coming together to dispose of a deadly threat against their world.
Rebel Moon will arrive in two separate movies and is said to have been “decades in the making”. The trailer is out now for the first adventure of the film, called Child of Fire.
The clip introduces us to Sofia Boutella’s character, Kora, a strange and mysterious woman with an interesting past living on the moon of Veldt with humble farmers.
When spaceships suddenly enter the atmosphere of the moon, Kora understands that these new visitors from the Motherland have not come in peace but are likely there to take action against the farmers.
The farmers look to have sold some crops to a group of insurgents, which has angered the Motherland. Kora then sets out to find a group of fighters who will defend Veldt and its inhabitants.
The film will also feature Charlie Hunnam, Djimon Hounsou, Doona Bae, Staz Nair, E. Duffy and Anthony Hopkins. Rebel Moon Part 1: A Child of Fire will be released on Netflix on December 22nd, 2023, and Rebel Moon Part 2: The Scargiver will follow on April 19th, 2024.
Earlier this year, Snyder said of the project: “I’ve been working on this story for quite a while. It’s about a group of farmers on the edge of the galaxy that gets visited by the armies of the Mother World, which are the bad guys. The farmers have to decide to fight or submit.”
