Neil Young set to announce tour of UK, Europe and North America

Legendary singer-songwriter Neil Young has revealed that he’ll announce his full 2025 dates within the coming days.

In a new post on his website, Neil Young Archives, published on February 18th, titled, ‘Join us in the SUMMER OF DEMOCRACY’, the Canadian unveiled his plans to make an announcement on February 24th for his upcoming tour.

According to Young, he will announce dates for the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada and Europe.

He wrote: “Music unites! We will be there with you! Join us all as we celebrate the Summer of Democracy. Old songs and new songs. Old words and new words. Long jams! We will come together this summer. The Chrome Hearts and I are ready for you! LOVE and Democracy reigns in the USA and the world.”

Young has already been announced as a headliner for Glastonbury Festival, which is set to take place in late June in Somerset. It will mark Young’s second visit to Worthy Farm after previously headlining the Pyramid Stage in 2009.

On January 3rd, Young confirmed he would play at the iconic festival after previously withdrawing from the lineup before being officially announced. He initially cited the BBC and “corporate control” as his reasons for pulling out.

However, he later reversed the decision, explaining, “Due to an error in the information received, I had decided to not play the Glastonbury festival, which I always have loved. Happily, the festival is now back on our itinerary and we look forward to playing! Hope to see you there!”

Meanwhile, Glastonbury organiser Emily Eavis said: “What a start to the year! Neil Young is an artist who’s very close to our hearts at Glastonbury. He does things his own way and that’s why we love him. We can’t wait to welcome him back to headline the Pyramid in June”.

Additionally, Young recently completed his debut album with his new band, The Chrome Hearts, who released their first single ‘Big Change’ in December. In a recent statement, Young revealed that he hopes the album will be released in April ahead of his upcoming tour in the summer.
