Morrissey announces new European tour
Morrissey has confirmed details of a new European tour for 2026.
The run of shows will begin in Aarhus in Denmark on February 15th with visits lined up to Germany, Luxembourg, and the Netherlands in February.
The former frontman of The Smiths will then arrive in the UK for his only British show at The O2 Arena in London on February 28th, which he previously announced in October.
The tour is set to resume in Lille in March, which will be followed by dates in Zurich and Milan before Morrissey ends the run with three shows in Spain.
The new announcement comes after Morrissey quietly cancelled his South American tour this month without giving an official statement.
He was due to play Buenos Aires, Argentina, on November 8th, before dates later this month in São Paulo in Brazil, Santiago in Chile, Lima in Peru, and conclude in the Colombian capital Bogota on November 22nd.
The week prior, he cancelled performances in Mexico City and Guadalajara, which were scheduled for October 31st and November 4th, respectively. Promoters cited “artist’s extreme exhaustion” as the reason for the cancellation.
Previously, in late June and July, Morrissey also cancelled a string of shows in mainland Europe due to exhaustion issues.
At the time, he told fans that “travel weary beyond belief” and “can barely see” from travelling to six countries within the space of a week. Morrissey added, “We have thousands upon thousands of friends, yet absolutely zero music industry support.”
Tickets for his upcoming tour will go on general sale at 10am local time on November 28th.
