Modest Mouse recruit Nirvana bassist Krist Novoselic for next album
Having just released their latest album Strangers to Ourselves, Modest Mouse have revealed details of their next studio offering, which will act as a ‘companion’ record. due for release in 2016.
The band have confirmed that the follow up will feature a cameo appearance from ex-Nirvana bass man Krist Novoselic, which according to MM frontman Isaac Brook will sound like ‘He also claimed that it “sounds like a bunch of boulders falling down a mountain’.
No strangers to drafting in the heavy-weights, Modest Mouse of course famously recorded and album with the Johnny Marr, Strangers to Ourselves also features guest appearances from James Mercer (The Shins), Jim Fairchild (Grandaddy) and Dann Gallucci (Cold War Kids).
