Ministry announce last album and farewell tour: “I’m fucking done”
Ministry are officially calling it quits with their final album, titled Hate To Go (Take Out Or Delivery), which will also be supported by one final farewell tour.
The release will hit the shelves on October 20th via Cleopatra Records, and will mark the end of their lengthy career, which has spanned 45-years.
In celebration of the huge announcement, frontman Al Jourgensen has shared, “I’m fucking done. I’m proud of what I’ve accomplished. I’m amazed at the path that it’s taken, from With Sympathy to where we’re at today, and all points in between.”
He added, “It’s been quite a ride, but I’m completely at peace with the fact that it’s done. It’s time to herd goats.”
The album will feature guitarists Monte Pittman and Cesar Soto, bassist Paul D’ Amour, keyboardist John Bechdel and drummer Pepe Clarke Magaña, as well as a surprise performance from former bandmate Paul Barker on the album’s closer, ‘We’re Still Here’.
The group has released the first taste of the album, titled ‘Burned Out’, which rattles with a charged political message: “It doesn’t matter if you’re left or right, we’re all dead unless we all unite.”
If this weren’t enough fuel to keep fans going in light of the sad news, Ministry have also announced their final tour dates, with European and UK shows kicking off in April, and North American shows yet to be announced.
