Metal concert in New Zealand derailed by “huge mess of sh*t” in the mosh pit
A metal concert in New Zealand was marred by a fan allegedly taking a crap in the mosh pit.
The incident is reported to have occurred at Devilskin’s show at the Union Hall in Dunedin on July 25th. The band have topped the charts in New Zealand with three different studio albums.
A concert-goer told local publication Otago Daily Times following the show, “It was a rock and metal concert, so there was a lot of jumping. And then eventually someone must have, like, looked down and noticed that there was just a huge mess of s**t, just completely spread all in the mosh pit, like, all over the floor.”
The Devilskin fan, who stayed anonymous, added, “It’s on people’s feet. People are wearing skirts and s**t is up their legs and stuff, and then one girl went bleh — just vomited on the s**t — and then everyone else starts vomiting.”
She described the piece of faeces as “huge” and “massive”, before admitting, “I haven’t seen one that big before.”
The fan added, “I thought it was some guy’s shoe, it was so big. It was unbelievable.”
Many attendees reportedly headed to the exit door, and “they actually paused the concert for a bit while some poor souls cleaned it all up,” according to the anonymous concert-goer.
She also said of the atmosphere following the incident, “When this was happening, there’s people in the foyer, and you would have thought someone had died. They were just bawling their eyes out — they were just hysterical.”
Another fan shared, “Whoever did it needs to slow down on whatever possessed them to do that. It makes you think — were they just wasted, or should they be in nappies?”
Local police in Dunedin and security at the venue did successfully track down a “middle-aged man”, who fellow gig-goers said were responsible for the incident. However, no charges have been filed.
After the concert, Devilskin took to Instagram to celebrate the night, telling fans, “Bloody good to bring the heat to Dunedin, always a rowdy time but you really outdid yourselves last night,” but didn’t reference the faecal incident.
It comes after last weekend, a Morgan Wallen fan allegedly urinated on a family of four at the country star’s concert in Maryland, which sparked a local police investigation.
Earlier this month, another strange incident occurred when a fan took a shit on the floor at a Noah Kahan show in Philadelphia.
Kahan later addressed the matter on social media, writing, “If you have to poop at a show please dear god just go to the bathroom lmao I’ve pooped my pants as much as the next 29 year old but you guys gotta understand there’s a venue worker out there with a 1000 yard stare after dealing with that.”
