‘Meet the Parents 4’ receives official title, ‘Focker in Law’
Meet The Parents 4, starring Ben Stiller and Robert De Niro, has now officially been titled Focker In Law.
In addition to De Niro and Stiller confirming they would return to the series for the fourth movie, the cast has also been bolstered by Ariana Grande, who was confirmed as a cast member in May.
Then, in June, it was revealed that Owen Wilson is set to reprise his role as Kevin Rawley, the ex-fiancé of Teri Polo’s Pam Focker. Blythe Danner and Teri Polo are also expected to return as Dina Byrnes and Pam Byrnes Focker, respectively.
As of writing, the full casting information has yet to be shared, and the plot for the movie has also been kept firmly under wraps.
John Hamburg, who co-wrote the first three movies, has returned as screenwriter and will also direct the film.
At a screening of Meet the Parents at Tribeca Film Festival in June to celebrate the movie’s 25th anniversary, Stiller said of the upcoming movie: “What spurred the idea is that I’m the age that Bob was when we did the first movie. It felt like a mirror to the first film, where one of my kids is thinking about introducing his person to the family.”
De Niro was also at Tribeca, the film festival he co-founded in 2002, and confirmed that he’d read the script for Focker in Law, which he said was “really fun.” The legendary actor said of filming the project, “I’m looking forward to it.”
Focker In Law is the first movie in the Meet the Parents series since Little Fockers in 2010. The sequel, Meet the Fockers, arrived in 2004.
The upcoming movie is expected to be released in late 2026.
