Owen Wilson confirmed for ‘Meet the Parents 4’
Owen Wilson will return for Meet the Parents 4, sources have confirmed.
The Zoolander actor will be joining original actors Ben Stiller and Robert De Niro in the movie. It has also been announced that global pop star Ariana Grande will join the cast in a pivotal role.
Owen is set to reprise his role as Kevin Rawley, the ex-fiancé of Teri Polo’s Pam Focker. This film will be the first since the 2010 movie Little Fockers.
Universal has dated the film’s release for November 25th, 2026. John Hamburg, who co-wrote the first three movies, will return to his comfortable seat as scriptwriter.
De Niro is expected to produce the film alongside Tribeca Festival co-founder Jane Rosenthal through Tribeca Productions. Stiller will also have a key part to play as he will produce through his company Red Hour Films.
Other actors lined up for the movie are Blythe Danner and Teri Polo, who also starred in the initial trio of movies. However, their return has yet to be made official, as their deals have not closed, The Hollywood Reporter shares.
The plot of the new movie remains under wraps. However, some sources have suggested that one section of the movie revolves around the son of Stiller and Polo’s characters. He gets engaged to a ball-busting woman who seems all wrong for him; reportedly, this is who Ariana Grande will play.
In 2024, Wilson made the headlines as he rejected an offer of $12 million to appear in a movie defending OJ Simpson. ‘If you think I’m going to take the lead role in a movie about how OJ didn’t do it, you’ve got to be kidding me,” the Hunger Games actor told those lobbying him to jump on board.
Meet the Parents 4 is set for release on November 25th, 2026.
