Margaret Qualley shares two singles as new musical alter-ego Lace Manhattan

Hollywood star Margaret Qualley has unveiled two new singles under her new musical alter-ego, Lace Manhattan.

The pair of new tracks, titled ‘Oddwadd’ and ‘In The Sun She Lies’, arrive alongside a pair of videos co-starring Qualley and Talia Ryder, who also acted as director. The two songs, which are polar opposites musically, will both appear on the soundtrack for Ethan Coen’s upcoming movie, Honey Don’t!, which also stars Qualley.

In addition to using ‘Oddwadd’ and ‘In The Sun She Lies’ on the soundtrack for his new movie, Coen is also listed as a co-writer on both tracks.

Production duties are handled by Qualley’s husband, Jack Antonoff, the multiple Grammy Award-winning producer who has worked with Taylor Swift, Sabrina Carpenter, Lorde, Kendrick Lamar, Gracie Abrams, The 1975, Lana Del Rey, and continues to dominate the contemporary music landscape.

Honey Don’t!, scheduled for cinematic release on August 22nd, is described as “a dark comedy about Honey O’Donahue, a small-town private investigator, who delves into a series of strange deaths tied to a mysterious church.”

Upon its premiere at Cannes in May, Honey Don’t! received a six-minute standing ovation from those in attendance, which both Qualley and Antonoff attended. Honey Don’t! also stars Aubrey Plaza, Chris Evans, Talia Ryder, Charlie Day, Kristen Connolly, and Don Swayze.

In January, Qualley shared her joy at being involved in the movie, telling IndieWire: “I just love Ethan Coen and Tricia Cooke so damn much and love being on their set. I can hardly put into words how special making that movie was for me and working with Aubrey Plaza, who is one of my favourite actors and people of all time.”

The movie is set for release on August 22nd, 2025.
