Liam Gallagher teases extension to Oasis reunion tour
Liam Gallagher has once again hinted at Oasis extending their reunion tour into 2026.
This summer, Oasis have completed triumphant legs of the tour in the UK, Ireland, and North America. They still have further shows later this year in South America, Australia, Japan and South Korea.
At Wembley Stadium last month, Gallagher seemingly let the cat out of the bag about their return in 2026. He initially told the crowd, “Most of all, I just want to thank you lot for keeping the faith and for putting this band back on the fucking map.”
Liam then added, “Champagne Supernova. See you next year!” Additionally, during a performance in Mexico City last month, Gallagher similarly said at the end of their set, “We’ll see you again. We fucking love you.”
Now, in response to a fan complaining that ‘The Hindu Times’ didn’t have a place on Oasis’ setlist, Gallagher replied on X, “Chill Winston it’s not even HALF TIME yet it’s a tour of 2 half’s”.
His comments come after Noel Gallagher appeared on TalkSPORT in August and refused to be drawn into a question about the band’s plans for 2026. When pressed on rumours about the tour extending into 2026, amid speculation that the band could be headed back to their iconic Knebworth along with a string of other dates, Noel replied, “Let’s talk about football”.
Additionally, in the summer, the Rome City Councillor for Major Events, Alessandro Onorato, confirmed he is attempting to bring Oasis to the Italian capital.
He told Radeo Sei on July 31st: “Oasis in the capital? These are live shows for companies that organise events all over the world, and the financial aspect is crucial. Negotiations are underway.”
Despite the persistent speculation that indicates Oasis will be back in 2026, their final performance is currently listed to take place in São Paulo on November 23rd.
For the upcoming shows in South Korea, Japan and Australia, they will be without Paul ‘Bonehead’ Arthurs. The guitarist, who was diagnosed with prostate cancer in January, explained in a statement: “The good news is I’m responding really well to treatment, which meant I could be part of this incredible tour. Now, I am having to take a planned break for the next phase of my care, so I’ll be missing the gigs in Seoul, Tokyo, Melbourne and Sydney.”
In response, Oasis wrote: “Wishing you all the best with your treatment Bonehead – we’ll see you back on stage in South America.”
Oasis Live ’25 is set to resume at the Goyang Stadium in South Korea on October 21st.
