Only today did we bring you the latest outburst from Mr Liam Gallagher as he labelled all other Britpop artists as “desperate”. Well, it didn’t take him long to get going again as this time he takes a deliberate swipe at Suede’s Brett Anderson.
Anderson recently distanced himself from Britpop calling “laddish, distasteful, misogynistic”. He made the point that his band Suede were intent on making the space between them and bands like Oasis and Blur very clear.
“I disassociated myself from that very early on, as soon as I saw what I saw as becoming this kind of laddish, jingoistic, cartoon happening, which became Britpop, I very quickly distanced Suede from that.”
Now Liam has hit back at those comments. “Check this shit out regarding this Britpop nonsense,” he wrote on his Twitter today. “I hear Burt out of Suede has said it was very laddish. See I disagree, I thought it was the opposite – I thought it was very BLOUSEY, which is why I distanced myself from it. LG x”

It didn’t stop there as fan questions came rolling in. He went on to say that only The Verve could match Oasis and that Blur only had two good tunes – ‘Beetlbum’ and ‘Lonesome Street’. He even went on to give Brett Anderson a further roasting. Read below for a bit of a giggle.
