Liam Gallagher has shared his brand new single ‘One Of Us’ which will appear on his forthcoming new album Why Me? Why Not.

The new track arrives as the fourth song to be released by Gallagher, a number which has been described as “a song which expresses hope that a fractured relationship can be salvaged in the future” in a press statement.

The track also references classic Oasis song ‘Live Forever‘ as Gallagher pays homage to his family life: “‘One of Us’ is about family, friendship and a sense of belonging. I love the groove and the gospel outro. It reminds me of The Sweet Inspirations,” he said of the track.

Speaking about the album, Gallagher said in a statement: “I want the second album to be a step-up, because the hardest thing to do is to make something the same, only better. So that’s what we’ve done. It’s a better record than ‘As You Were’. Which is saying something, as that was epic, wasn’t it?”

Compounding the family effort, Gallagher has recruited his youngest son, Gene, who plays bongos on the track which you can stream, below.
