Liam Gallagher denies tabloid reports of meeting with Noel Gallagher: “Fake news”

Liam Gallagher has taken to X to deny that he met up with Noel Gallagher for a private meeting in a London hotel earlier this week.

The report, published by The Sun, alleged: “Liam brought sons Lennon, 25, and Gene, 23 — both keen on the Oasis reunion — to talks with his brother at a hotel on Tuesday. They are said to have arrived separately before their sit-down in a private room at the Nobu Hotel London Portman Square near Hyde Park.”

It also claimed that the relationship between the brothers is now “far warmer” ahead of the Oasis reunion which is scheduled to begin this summer. Guitarist Paul ‘Bonehead‘ Arthurs, who is yet to be announced as part of the Oasis reunion, was also reported to have been in attendance.

However, Liam has rubbished the claims in the report. When asked by one user on X, “Is it true u & your lads met Noel at a hotel on Tuesday?- & Bonehead too? Sounds exciting,” Liam bluntly replied, “Cos it didn’t happen FAKE NEWS”.

Additionally, Liam jokingly responded to one fan who was curious to hear more about the alleged meeting between the brothers, stating, “I did it was lovely we had a lovely chat and a cuddle.”

The frontman also took time out of his day to reply “FAKE NEWS” to a series of fans who wanted to hear more about the alleged meeting with Noel.

The highly-anticipated Oasis tour is set to begin on July 4th at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium. Oasis will then play numerous shows at Manchester’s Heaton Park, Edinburgh’s Murrayfield Stadium, Croke Park in Dublin as well as at Wembley Stadium.

Once they finish up in the UK, Oasis will head to North America for a series of stadium dates, and will also take their reunion to South America, Australia, Korea, and Japan.

For the UK leg of the jaunt, they will be joined by Richard Ashcroft and Cast on all of the dates. The former Verve frontman, who famously inspired the Oasis track ‘Cast No Shadow’, continued: “It was the perfection of ‘Live Forever’ that forced me to try and write my own. They dared to be great, made the dreams we had real and I will always remember those days with joy. Now it’s time to create more memories and I’m ready to bring it. See you next summer. Music is power.”
