Liam Gallagher confirms Oasis have decided their setlist: “It’s not my fault we can’t play them all”
With less than two months to go until Oasis reunite for the first time in 16 years, Liam Gallagher has revealed their setlist has now been decided.
Oasis will begin their reunion on July 4th at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff, and preparations are now in full swing before they take to the road for the most highly anticipated tour of the decade, which sold out in record time.
Liam has continued to prolifically use his X account to provide updates on the reunion, including announcing Cast and Richard Ashcroft as support acts for the British leg long before it had been made official. Now, he’s spoken about their setlist.
In response to a fan requesting Oasis to perform ‘Hey Now’ at the shows, Liam broke the sad news that it won’t be played, sharing, “The setlist is done and I’m afraid it didn’t make it now don’t take it personally and call me hurty names as it’s not my fault we can’t play them all”.
Another fan then asked, “ARE YOU TAKING THE PISS PUT IT ON THE SETLIST NOW”, to which the Oasis frontman replied, “Nobody’s taking the piss do you think I like upsetting people it’s just not that deep let it go”.
Further elaborating on how the setlist was decided, albeit in classic Liam style, he added to another fan who said it is “all your fault” for the song’s exclusion, “It’s half Noel’s you little turd why do I get all the blame”.
In another recent update, Noel Gallagher recently appeared on TalkSPORT to share an insight into Oasis’ preparation. He said: “I’m in the studio just noodling around. We’re getting ready for rehearsals to start now in about three weeks, and then, yeah, we’ll see what happens.”
The guitarist was then quizzed about whether his brother Liam is currently “behaving himself”. Noel responded by revealing, “I was with him yesterday, actually, he’s alright. He’s on tip-top form.”
Oasis are set to begin rehearsals for their reunion tour in May, with Liam set to join at a later date. The Gallagher brothers were pictured arriving separately at a working man’s club in Newington Green in London on April 24th, which is believed to be for an Adidas advert.
