The feud between Liam and Noel Gallagher could reach the courtroom as it claims a lawsuit has been threatened over Oasis songs.
The alleged threat of legal action claims that Liam will not be allowed to use any footage of him singing Oasis songs during his forthcoming new documentary ‘As You Was’.
According to a press release, the film will show the “emotional story of how one of the greatest rock frontmen went from the dizzying heights of his champagne supernova years in Oasis to living on the edge ostracised lost in the musical wilderness of boredom, booze and bitter legal battles”. It won’t however, feature any Oasis-related footage it seems.
“I’ve just been informed that I’ll be sued by the not so mighty little fella and his goons at ignition if I use any footage of me singing oasis yes oasis songs in AS IT WAS,” Liam wrote on social media.
“Who’s bitter now eh ps Dya want a hand selling those tickets AS YOU WERE LG x.”
The film will also allow the audience to “see Liam emerging from Noel’s shadow, managing the expectation going from being in the biggest band in the world to starting again alone, stripped bare, with no-where to hide”.
LG again took to his favourite medium, Twitter, to share a glowing review after seeing the film before it’s release later in the year. “Just seen the film As It Was and it’s mega,” wrote Liam previously.
