Lewis Capaldi joins Noah Kahan for emotional duet at BST Hyde Park

Singer-songwriter Lewis Capaldi joined Noah Kahan as a surprise guest at his BST Hyde Park show on July 4th.

Performing for approximately 65,000 people in London’s Hyde Park, the Vermont-based singer soared through one of his largest shows to date, after a gorgeous Glastonbury Festival performance not a week earlier.

Together, the pair performed Noah Kahan’s track ‘Northern Attitude’ during his encore, which he typically sings with Irish star Hozier. In front of the huge audience, Capaldi addressed his triumphant return to the industry, which led to his comeback single ‘Survive’ flying straight to the top of the charts.

“‘Survive’ is this week’s UK number one, and I want to say a massive thank you to everybody who’s been streaming it, downloading it. It really means the world,” he said.

He then acknowledged that he had not performed live since his 2023 Glastonbury set, saying, “I’ve been away for a little while, and to come back to this outpouring of love and support has been absolutely incredible. I can’t thank everybody enough for all the kind words since Glastonbury – and now this! It’s been the best week of my life. I hope you continue to enjoy the song, it means a lot to me.”

Capaldi recently made a triumphant return to the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury, the site of his last gig that previously ended in tears when Capaldi, who has been open about his struggles with anxiety and Tourette’s, was unable to finish his set. Capaldi began his set by performing ‘Before You Go’. He also treated the Pyramid Stage to renditions of hit songs such as ‘Grace’ and ‘Hold Me While You Wait’.

Kahan had other special guests during the show. Opener Gracie Abrams returned to the stage early in Kahan’s set to collaborate with him on ‘Everything, Everywhere.’ Musician Gigi Perez also joined Kahan on stage to add to fan favourite ‘Call Your Mom’, with Kahan’s own mother watching lovingly from the audience.
