Lana Del Rey announces new single, ‘White Feather-Hawk Tail Deer Hunter’

Lana Del Rey has announced a new single, titled ‘White Feather-Hawk Tail Deer Hunter’, and has teased that her album will be released “soon”.

Taking to her Instagram story and addressing the camera directly, the singer-songwriter began, “Guys, I just wanted to make a little message and let you know that my new single and my favourite song… this is the one I’ve been waiting for… ‘White Feather-Hawk Tail Deer Hunter’ is coming out on [February] 17th.”

The musician also looked ahead to the release of her new album, which she has been promising for some time now. She first announced details of her follow-up to 2023’s Did You Know That There’s A Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd in 2025.

Her highly anticipated 10th album has since undergone some changes; she first renamed it from Lasso to The Right Person Will Stay, pushing back the expected release date from May to September 2025.

In August 2025, she then changed the name to Stove and shared that the project would “most likely be released at the end of January” of 2026. Now, the ‘Summertime Sadness’ singer has revealed that there are some months to go before it will be out in the world.

After announcing the single, she quickly shared, “I know, I know, I know, I know, you’re asking about the record, but, honestly, soon, because final takes three months, so you have three months plus two weeks.”

She added, “It could be give or take a little, but aside from that, I really want you to focus on the single, I’m really happy about it.”

The beaming star also revealed that the new single features songwriting credits from husband Jeremy and production from Jack Antonoff, among other names.

Far Out gave Lana Del Rey’s last record a glowing four-star review, writing, “Devoted fans of Del Rey will find much to fawn over in Ocean Blvd. Diverse, nuanced and interrogative, it reminds us that mainstream pop doesn’t have to be apathetic and easily digestible. It can also be conceptual, exploratory and multifaceted.”
