Kristi Noem confirms ICE will be “all over” the Super Bowl Bad Bunny performance

Kristi Noem, the Secretary of Homeland Security, has confirmed rumours from a key Trump advisor that US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) will attend the upcoming Bad Bunny performance at the Super Bowl.

Asked recently what the plans for the NFL show were, Noem reiterated that ICE would be “all over” the event. The claim had previously come from Department of Homeland advisor Corey Lewandowski, who said, “There is nowhere that you can provide safe haven to people who are in this country illegally. Not the Super Bowl and nowhere else.”

Noem continued this thread, sharing in the clip, “I have the responsibility for making sure everybody goes to the Super Bowl, has the opportunity to enjoy it and to leave, and that’s what America’s about. So yeah, we’ll be all over that place. We’re going to enforce the law.”

Noem continued: “So, I think people should not be coming to the Super Bowl unless they’re law-abiding Americans who love this country.”

When asked if she had “any message to the NFL” after it chose Bad Bunny as its Super Bowl halftime performer, Noem said, “Well, they suck and we’ll win, and God will bless us and we’ll stand and be proud of ourselves at the end of the day, and they won’t be able to sleep at night because they don’t know what they believe. And they’re so weak, we’ll fix it.”

On October 4th, the Puerto Rican superstar hosted Saturday Night Live and used his monologue to respond to the backlash he had received since the performance announcement. “I’m very happy,” he shared of the huge opportunity, which over 100million people will watch. “And I think everyone is happy about it. Even Fox News.”

In the bilingual monologue, he showed gratitude to his Latino fans and finished jokingly, “If you didn’t understand what I just said, you have four months to learn.” The Super Bowl famously takes place in February.
