Kim Dracula shares harrowing footage of tour bus catching fire

Australian singer Kim Dracula has cancelled two performances after their tour bus caught fire in the United States.

Kim Dracula are currently on the road with Ice Kills Nails in the United States. Thankfully, none of the band or crew have suffered injuries, but they have lost important possessions which left them unable to perform.

Dracula shared a lengthy message with fans on Instagram along with footage of the tour bus erupting into flames. They began: “At 6 a.m. this morning our bus caught fire while we were sleeping. I was in the back behind a locked door and was woken up by my crew screaming and banging on the door telling me to get off the bus. We all got off immediately and within 30 seconds the entire bus was engulfed in flames, starting right where I was laying down.”

Dracula also revealed that due to the fire, “Most of us lost all our possessions, including things we needed for the show”. As a result, they were unable to play two shows with Ice Kills Nails before rejoining them on the road on August 27th in Madison, Wisconsin.

“I am sorry to any of you who were looking forward to seeing us perform,” Dracula said, apologising to fans. They added, “I was unable to make this post any earlier as I lost my phone in the fire. Everyone in the crew is safe however, including myself. We look forward to jumping back in soon.”

The Australian thanked fans for their support and explained that while they appreciate fans offering to donate money, it isn’t necessary. Dracula continued, “A lot of you have asked if you can donate money, and whilst I appreciate that, I don’t want to take money from any of you. Your vocal support is more than enough.”

Dracula emotionally continued: “Despite my career flourishing this year, I’ve gone from almost taking my own life to just barely escaping death, so now I feel like something out there wants me to live. Thus, that is the plan, Jan. I will figure this out and we will be back on the road shortly. Thank you.”

The US tour with Ice Kills Nails is set to conclude in Fort Lauderdale on September 6th. They will then perform in Orlando in November for the Vans Warped Tour before heading out on an Australian headline tour later this year.
