Dropkick Murphys highlight connection between Donald Trump and Jeffrey Epstein during Vans Warped Tour set
During the recent stop of the Vans Warped Tour in California, punk band Dropkick Murphys used their set to ridicule Donald Trump over his relationship with the late Jeffrey Epstein.
Over the past weekend, the Vans Warped Tour, which is celebrating its 30th anniversary, parked up in Long Beach, and Dropkick Murphys, who are vocal critics of Trump, used their set to ridicule the leader of the free world.
Before delivering a rendition of ‘First Class Loser’, frontman Ken Casey told the crowd: This next song is dedicated to a guy who wears orange makeup, shits his pants in his diapers, rapes women, touches kids. It’s called ‘First Class Loser’.”
If it wasn’t clear enough who Casey was seemingly dedicating the song to, Dropkick Murphys then put a series of videos and images on the screen behind them of Trump while playing ‘First Class Loser’, including several connected to Epstein.
One of the slides included an interview with Trump in New York Magazine from 2002, in which he said, “I’ve known Jeff for fifteen years. Terrific guy. He’s a lot of fun to be with. It is even said that he likes beautiful women as much as I do, and many of them are on the younger side.”
Their latest attack on Trump comes after they recently pulled out of all Punk in the Park festival appearances due to its founder’s financial support of his presidential campaign.
On July 23rd, Dropkick Murphys explained their decision on Instagram: “Punk Rock and Donald Trump just don’t belong together. So Upon finding out that Brew Ha Ha promotions donated to the Trump campaign we will not be playing any more Punk in the Park show.”
In response, Cameron Collins, Brew Ha Ha owner, stated of his support for Trump in 2024: “We live in a two-party system, and unfortunately, you must choose based on a few important issues that resonate with you. For me, those issues were the promise to end wars and refrain from entering new international conflicts, lower taxes, and stopping government overreach.”
Collins then criticised Trump over the “recent ICE atrocities and the backtracking on the Epstein files”.
