Keke Palmer cancels release of Jonathan Majors podcast following backlash

Keke Palmer has appeared to discard an episode of her podcast featuring disgraced actor Jonathan Majors which had been set for release on April 8th, following serious online backlash.

Palmer had interviewed former Marvel actor Majors for her podcast Baby, This is Keke Palmer, despite him being convicted of domestically abusing and harassing his former girlfriend.

However, after huge backlash over this on social media, the episode appears to have been dropped and replaced with an appearance of rapper Kash Doll instead.

The episode, ‘No Easy Answers: Accountability and Moving Forward with Jonathan Majors,’ was set to air as Majors was on a promotional tour for his new film Magazine Dreams. During this press tour, he has avoided questions that address his convictions.

The actor was found guilty in December 2024 of misdemeanour reckless assault in the third degree and harassment of his ex-girlfriend Grace Jabbari. He has never admitted to these charges.

It comes as Palmer herself was revealed to have been a victim of domestic abuse from her former partner in November 2023 which was stated in court documents for a custody dispute over their child.

Promotional clips had already previously been released for the episode, which was set for release on April 8th, in which Palmer is seen flirting with Majors before playing a ‘this or that’ game with him where he chooses the option of “owning the past” as opposed to “rewriting the future,” but skirts over his reasons for doing so when questioned further.

Majors had previously played the role of Marvel supervillain Kang the Conqueror in films such as Antman and the Wasp: Quantumania and the Disney+ series Loki prior to his arrest for domestic abuse charges in March 2023.
