Keith Urban cancels concert due to health issue

Keith Urban has been forced to cancel his show on October 16th in Greenville, South Carolina, due to a health issue. The cancellation comes weeks after his divorce from actor Nicole Kidman was confirmed.

Kidman and Urban announced their split in September. The pair had been married for almost two decades, having originally tied the knot back in June 2006. However, sources reporting the news of their separation revealed that the musician had moved out of their family home in Nashville.

Urban has now cancelled his upcoming appearance in Greenville due to the advice of his longtime laryngologist. The cancellation was “due to laryngitis, which began earlier this week.”

The official Facebook page for the venue revealed that the star “has been placed on complete vocal rest and Dr. Garrett is optimistic that he will be back onstage for his Nashville show.”

Urban has spoken out about the unfortunate cancellation, sharing, “Hey Greenville, I’m so SO sorry to have to cancel the show…I know all the logistics it takes to get to a concert these days and I’ve never taken any of that, or any of YOU for granted. I’m looking forward to getting back there when we can!!!!!”

Urban’s High and Alive World Tour kicked off in May and has seen him traverse across the United States, Canada, and Australia. He is expected to continue the tour in Nashville at the Bridgestone Arena on October 18th.

He will then have a single remaining date scheduled in 2025 at Louisiana’s Boots on the Bayou country music festival, which takes place on November 1st.

Neither Kidman nor Urban have yet spoken publicly about the reports or to confirm their split officially. The pair were last seen publicly together watching a football game in Nashville in June.
