Jeremy Renner set to release music inspired by snowplough accident
Avengers star Jeremy Renner has announced he will be releasing new music inspired by the near-fatal snowplough accident he suffered at the year’s inception.
On January 1st, Renner was hospitalised after the near-fatal snowplough accident after he stepped in front of his vehicle while it was moving to help his nephew from his own.
“It was my mistake, and I paid for it,” Renner, who broke more than 30 bones in the incident, said in April. He also revealed that he yelled, “Not today, motherfucker” as the plough crushed his body.
Now, in a new Instagram post, Renner has revealed that he will be releasing Love and Titanium, a collection of tracks inspired by his accident. He wrote: “A collection of music we wrote about different milestones in my journey of recovery since Jan 1st this year.”
He continued: “‘Love and Titanium’ has been painful, deeply healing, and ultimately cathartic for me to create. I hope I get the courage to share with you all.” On top of the image, the word “soon” is written.
Notably, the body of work’s title references Renner’s comment when speaking to ABC News earlier this year. “I’ve lost a lot of flesh and bone in this experience,” he told the network. “But I’ve been refuelled and refilled with love and titanium.”
Although Jeremy Renner is best known for his work as Hawkeye in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, he has previously released music. His debut EP, The Medicine, arrived in 2020, and before that, he released songs for films such as ‘I Drink Alone’ for North Country and ‘Good Ole Rebel’ for The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford.
