Watch Jeremy Allen White as Bruce Springsteen in ‘Deliver Me From Nowhere’ trailer
The first trailer has arrived for the upcoming Bruce Springsteen biopic, Deliver Me From Nowhere, starring Jeremy Allen White.
The upcoming movie is courtesy of director Scott Cooper and based on author Warren Zanes’ 2023 book of the same name. The original book tells the story of how Springsteen hibernated in isolation to produce his 1982 masterpiece Nebraska.
At this stage in Springsteen’s career, he was already a household name, which makes the biopic different from others in the music biopic genre, such as the Bob Dylan biopic A Complete Unknown, which charts the singer-songwriter’s rise to fame from obscurity.
In the first trailer, viewers are also given their first glimpse of Jeremy Strong as Springsteen’s manager, Jon Landau, and Stephen Graham, who plays the musician’s father, Douglas Springsteen.
“It’s an interesting concept, because it’s only a couple of years out of my life,” Springsteen told Variety of the film in April.
Springsteen then reflected on that period, admitted that he was “going through some personal difficulties that I’ve been living with my whole life”, but noted Deliver Me From Nowhere is “fantastic”.
In January, Springsteen previously praised White’s performance in the biopic, sharing, “Jeremy is such a terrific actor that you just fall right into it. He’s got an interpretation of me that I think the fans will deeply recognise. He’s just done a great job, so I’ve had a lot of fun being on the set when I can get there.”
White, who is set to star in a new series of The Bear later this month, told GQ of his preparation for the movie last year: “I’ve got a really talented group of people helping me train vocally, musically, to get ready for this thing. I’m also really lucky [that] Bruce is really supportive of the film, and so I’ve had some access to him and he’s just the greatest guy.”
Deliver Me From Nowhere is set to be released in cinemas on October 24th, 2025.
