Jackson Browne to perform first headline shows since death of son in 2025
Jackson Browne is set to perform his first live shows since the death of his son last year.
Browne has kept a low profile since November last year, when he tragically announced that his son Ethan had died aged 52.
However, after giving a few performances in recent weeks, including at the Music America: The Songs that Shaped Us concert on June 5th, featuring the likes of Bruce Springsteen and Bon Jovi for the 250th Independence Day celebrations, it seems he is ready to step back into the spotlight.
To this end, Browne has announced that he is set to play three solo concerts at the Hollywood Pantages Theater on November 19th, 20th, and 22nd this year.
The timing of these gigs coincides with the one-year anniversary of Ethan’s passing, which occurred on November 25th, 2025.
Browne released a statement at the time, which said: “It is with deep sorrow that we share that on the morning of November 25, 2025, Ethan Browne, the son of Jackson Browne and Phyllis Major, was found unresponsive in his home and has passed away.”
It was later revealed in January that Ethan, a singer-songwriter, actor, and model, had died from an accidental drug overdose.
However, as Browne gradually steps back into the spotlight following the tragedy, he is also set to perform at The Masonic in San Francisco, California, as part of a special event celebrating the music of Steve Earle.
He also performed earlier this month at the Hollywood Bowl, during various events honouring the music in the films of Wes Anderson.
Tickets for Browne’s first two shows in Los Angeles are now on sale, with a presale for the third show on November 22nd becoming available on July 29th at 10am local time. General sale will then go live from July 30th at 10am local time.
