Brit Awards 2025: Jack Whitehall confirmed as host
The Brit Awards have announced Jack Whitehall will host this year’s ceremony on March 1st, 2025. The actor, presenter, and comedian has previously hosted the awards on four occasions.
The last time Whitehall was the master of ceremonies at the prestigious awards event was in 2021. “They say that absence makes the heart grow fonder, and that is absolutely the case with the Brit Awards,” he said in a statement regarding his return, “It is my favourite night of the year, and I am delighted to be back to host in 2025.”
The Chair of the Brit Committee, Damian Christian, shared this sentiment, stating, “I’m excited that we’ve been able to bring Jack back to host for a fifth time. Jack is a true professional who makes one of the toughest gigs on TV look effortless.”
Christian continued: “His cutting wit will keep everyone on their toes, while his charm and humour will make the audience at home feel closer to the awards.”
The nominees for this year’s Brit Awards have yet to be revealed but are expected to be revealed in due course.
Earlier this week, the acts set to perform benefit concerts in aid of War Child as part of Brits Week were confirmed. Kasabian, Cat Burns, Frank Turner, Nova Twins, Blossoms and Soft Play were all confirmed to perform intimate shows in London for charity across February and March.
At last year’s ceremony, it was Raye’s night to remember. The singer-songwriter was nominated for seven awards despite becoming an independent artist just two years prior, winning in six categories including the coveted ‘Best Album’. “A year and a half ago, as far as the industry is concerned, I was down and out,” she said during her victory speech, “Never in my wildest dreams would I have been here again with seven Brit nominations.”
The Brit Awards 2025 will be held on March 1st, 2025, at the O2 Arena in London and broadcast live on ITV1 and ITVX.
