The Cure, Lewis Capaldi, Calvin Harris lead stacked Isle of Wight Festival 2026 line-up
As the colder weather begins to settle in, it’s time to start looking forward to next summer. Already, festival lineups for 2026 are being announced, and the latest is the Isle of Wight festival.
Hosted on the Isle of Wight between the 18th and 21st June, the 2026 edition has announced their three headliners and a teasing selection of the first names on the bill to get crowds excited for another year of the historic festival.
Next year, Lewis Capaldi will headline on the 19th June as the singer continues his comeback after a restful hiatus in order to protect his physical and mental health. Alongside him at the top of the bill, Calvin Harris will headline on the 20th, bringing crowd-pleaser classics from his spanning career as a DJ, producer and songwriter.
But on the Sunday, the festival is returning to its rock roots as The Cure are top of the bill for the closing night. After returning last year with their first album in 16 years, Robert Smith and his band show no signs of disappearing again, as the announcement of this headline slot comes after the news that they’ll also be headlining Primavera.
After launching in 1968, the Isle of Wight Festival was first a major festival for the countercultural crowd, championing rock and folk stars and even rivalling Woodstock. As Plant takes to the stage for the 2026 event, perhaps they’re beginning to return to their original focus by giving the stage back to alternative acts, including Sex Pistols performing with Frank Carter.
Alongside the big names, the other acts announced are a mixed bag for fans of all genres. The Kooks, Tom Grennan and Teddy Swims will be performing. For the nostalgic crowd, Rick Astley, David Gray, Shed Seven, KT Tunstall and Suzanne Vega are on the bill, as well as Jo Wiley presenting a set of ‘90s anthems.
However, the festival has also announced newer names. Wet Leg will be performing, as well as The Last Dinner Party. They’ve also announced Liverpool’s Luvcat, whose debut album is one of the most highly anticipated of 2025.
With months to go until the event, many more names are set to be announced.
