Hayley Williams shares acoustic cover of Björk song ‘Unison’

The former Paramore lead singer Hayley Williams is enjoying being out in the creative world on her own. The singer has found time away from her latest record Petals For Armor to open up about songs she loves.

Last week, after compiling a list of her favourite tracks, Williams has now followed it up by making good on a fan request and recorded a cover of Björk’s ‘Unison’.

“Someone asked me to do a Bjork song a while back,” Williams tweeted on July 16th.

“I’d actually hoped to cover a different song of hers live this year but I guess that will have to wait until some other time… anyway, this one has to be in my top 5 – ‘Unison’. Apologies for the crudely casual rendition.”

The cover, a simple and refreshing one, is stripped back with an acoustic guitar. The footage has been shot in black and white and arrives a touching refrain and a soothing moment in a heavy world.

It’s not necessarily the whole song but Williams does a fantastic job of capturing the sentiment of the original. Watch Hayley Williams cover Björk’s ‘Unison’ below.
