Glastonbury 2025: Watch Wunderhorse perform new single ‘The Rope’

On The Park Stage at Glastonbury Festival, Wunderhorse delivered a thunderous set, rising to the occasion in front of a huge crowd.

Over the last 12 months since they released their second album, Midas, Wunderhorse have been riding on the crest of the wave. In this time, they’ve toured arenas across Europe with Fontaines DC, sold out a UK tour, and recently, performed the biggest headline show of their career at London’s Alexandra Palace.

Their set at The Park Stage was the moment that Wunderhorse have been building towards throughout the entire campaign in support of Midas. Judging by their latest single, ‘The Rope’, things are going to get even bigger for Wunderhorse on their next record.

Sonically, ‘The Rope’ isn’t a world away from upbeat tracks like ‘Midas’, and frontman Jacob Slater truly came into his element while delighting the Worthy Farm audience with the new song.

Speaking to Far Out last year, the band said of their growth as an outfit: “Usually, the normal thing is to make the second album sound bigger, kind of more produced and elevate it more to stand out in the industry, but we wanted to get away from the production on the first record and make it a bit more like an accurate representation of how we sounded live.”

Judging by their set on The Park Stage, Wunderhorse’s story at Glastonbury still has several chapters left to unfold in the future, and bigger stages await.

So far, it’s been a memorable first day of Glastonbury Festival after Lorde kicked it off in epic style with a not-so-secret set on the Woodsies Stage at 11:30am. Lewis Capaldi also made an emotional return to the Pyramid Stage two years after making his last public appearance, which ended with the crowd assisting him due to the singer suffering from an anxiety attack.
