Glastonbury 2025: Lorde appears to confirm secret set
Lorde has appeared to confirm she is set to play a secret set at Glastonbury Festival on June 27th.
Taking to Instagram Stories on June 26th, the New Zealander shared an image from the sky looking down at the Woodsies area, the stage she has been highly rumoured to perform a secret set at during the festival.
Woodsies Stage currently has a TBA set listed for 11:30am, which now appears to have been taken by Lorde.
The set has been heavily rumoured with Lorde largely because it coincides with the release date of her new album, Virgin. Pulp, Chappell Roan and Haim are also among those who have been mentioned as potential surprise acts across Glastonbury Festival.
Furthermore, when Lorde recently appeared on BBC Radio 2, she made the rumour mill burst into overdrive when discussing Glastonbury with Jo Whiley, sharing, “I am quite tempted by what’s going on because I’ve got lots of friends playing as well, we’ll see, we’ll see if I can pull some strings and get there.”
Lorde previously performed on The Other Stage in 2017 following the release of her second album, Melodrama, and returned to Glastonbury in 2022 to bring a dose of Solar Power to the Pyramid Stage as the sun set.
Reflecting on her past Glastonbury experiences, Lorde told Whiley: “It’s absolutely unbelievable — enormous. It’s just the best festival in the world.”
Due to Woodsies being a relatively small stage by Glastonbury standards, those hoping for a space in the tent are recommended to get down early to watch Lorde perform.
Meanwhile, The 1975 will take to the Pyramid Stage at 10:15pm on June 27th for a headline performance following sets throughout the day by Biffy Clyro, Alanis Morissette, and a TBA set highly rumoured to be Lewis Capaldi. Other acts performing at Glastonbury tomorrow include Loyle Carner, Wet Leg, Gracie Abrams, Inhaler, Four Tet and many more.
