Glastonbury 2025: Is Lewis Capaldi teasing a secret set?
One of the artists appearing in a secret set at this year’s Glastonbury Festival has seemingly been confirmed as Lewis Capaldi, after mysterious billboards were seen springing up both near the Glastonbury site and in the singer’s home city of Glasgow.
The first sign was seen as campers began arriving at Worthy Farm on June 24th, near the Castle Cary train station close to the site. It was emblazoned with the words: “I’ve had my fair share of Monday mornings where I can’t get up.”
Separately, hundreds of miles north in the Scottish city, an electronic billboard also displayed a message in the same style and font which said: “I refuse to spend my best years rotting in the sun.”
Under the messages on both signs was a phone number that fans could text to receive updates, confirming that the billboards were indeed from the artist listed on the line-up as ‘TBA’.
Since fans were not able to recognise these lyrics from existing songs, it is being increasingly speculated that this could be Capaldi staging a comeback at the festival, two years after he was forced to take a hiatus from the industry following his Glastonbury performance in 2023.
Capaldi lives with Tourette’s syndrome and mental health issues, and after not being able to finish his performance of his hit single ‘Someone You Loved’ at Worthy Farm due to the impact of his condition, he has rarely been seen in public since.
Subsequently, fans and social media sleuths are becoming increasingly confident that Capaldi is set to take to the stage for the 35-minute Pyramid slot on June 27th, making him one of the most anticipated rumoured acts of this year’s festival along with Haim, Pulp, and Lorde.
