Glastonbury 2025: Watch Wet Leg perform hot new single ‘Davina McCall’

Indie-rockers Wet Leg tore up the Other Stage at Glastonbury Festival, which included a rendition of their latest single, ‘Davina McCall’.

Although Wet Leg played the Park Stage in 2022, they still came with something to prove. The group have updated their image, opting for bleached-out eyebrows and all the fiery punk gusto of a band in their pomp. They’ve updated stages, too, thrashing around on the festival’s second-biggest arena with the ferocity that matched their new look.

Wet Leg originally released ‘Davina McCall’ after two punchier, gutsier singles, ‘Catch These Fists‘ and ‘CPR’. Releasing a slower ballad as their third single is bold; yet, during their set, the band had no qualms about bringing the pace down with the no-less impressive ballad. The crowd at Glastonbury welcomed the slight energy shift as Wet Leg embraced the Friday afternoon crowd into the lush world of pure, unadulterated devotion. Rhian Teasdale even dedicated the track to her partner, Lava La Rue.

Though the single was only released on June 23rd, many fans in the crowd knew the lyrics well. As the band launched into the third verse and the audience two-stepped in time with the guitars, they sang along with gleeful whimsy, yelling, “I’ll be your Shakira, whenever, wherever!”

Rhian Teasdale and Hester Chambe proved themselves to the meandering afternoon crowd, who appeared hooked on the melodic ballad. The sleepy afternoon lull was no match for the beloved indie-rockers. This is only a good sign for their new album, Moisturizer, which arrives on July 11th.

Wet Leg will also play a range of festival dates across this summer, including Roskilde Festival in Denmark and TRNSMT in Glasgow. They already wowed fans with a set no less enthusiastic than their Glastonbury show at Barcelona’s Primavera Sound festival.

Later this evening, indie-pop legends The 1975 will headline the Pyramid Stage and perform their only show of 2025. Loyle Carner will take to The Other Stage at the same time, only several hours after Wet Leg’s promising set.
